Teens

Jesse and Emily were ready to start the children’s ministry when Emily decided to have Jesse pull out two teens who had come.  Jesse was able to share the gospel with them and they received Christ.  Then, their national spoke with them for quite a while about what it means to follow Christ and how to live as a teenager for Him.

Mark and Gus have been doing training with the police here and today were able to share the gospel telling the men if they would like to receive Christ they could write their names in a notebook.  Thirty officers wrote their names.  Tomorrow they will train the training officer to lead I am Second Studies and Courageous studies with policemen across the country.

The Spirit Leads

Beth found today that it is amazing that every
chance they had to speak to someone the Lord used someone different to speak
what the person needed.  So, prelaid
plans went out the window as the Spirit took over.

Bringing Them Up Alone

As I, Liz, spoke with Olga, several children were crawling on and over her while she sat on the steps of her home listening to me share my life story and how much God loves her.  She asked Jesus to forgive her and become her Lord.  As we continued to visit during the day, we found out that Olga is illiterate so church members will need to work closely with her.  Olga has six children, the oldest being 9.  She is 22 and her husband left her with all but the oldest child.  I don’t know how she makes a living, but I ask that you pray for her and for the church as they minister to her.

Not Wanting to Give It Up

Our teams came across men today who although they heard the truth were not willing to give up their lifestyles.  Pray for men to come to Christ.

What a day!

Our team arrived in Esmeraldas last night after a bus trek across country for 7 hours.  We met our five pastors last night and today attended church and prayer walked.  Two of our teams even got to see a river baptism.  The pastors all seem to be really excited about the work we will be doing.  Lift our team up this week as we begin our work tomorrow.  Thank you.  Liz
